Unless otherwise indicated, all content included on OneWorld.org, such as text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, video clips, digital downloads and data compilations, is the property of OneWorld UK and protected by copyright law. However, OneWorld UK encourages requests for permission to reproduce content, normally subject to a fee only in a commercial context.  

Content on OneWorld.org may be changed at any time.

OneWorld.org offers links to external websites with the aim of improving your experience but OneWorld UK does not formally approve or endorse these websites and is not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

OneWorld UK does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information or content, nor its fitness for any particular purpose. In many instances, the information provided may represent opinion and judgement. Under no circumstances will OneWorld UK be liable for any loss or damage caused by reliance on the content of OneWorld.org.

By using OneWorld.org, you assume all risks associated with its use, including any risk to your computer, software or data being damaged by any virus, software, or any other file which might be transmitted or activated via this website.

Your Content

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account or password. 

You must not use any part of the website to post or upload content which is illegal, immoral, offensive to OneWorld UK or others, or in breach of others' rights. This includes, but is not limited to, any content which is discriminatory or harassing on the grounds of race, gender, religion, age or any other personal attribute, foul language, inciting hatred or violence, sexually explicit, abusive, defamatory, in breach of copyright or other rights. 

You may not use a false e-mail address, impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise mislead as to the origin of your content. 

OneWorld UK has an unrestricted, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide right and licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish, translate and distribute your content and/or to incorporate it in other works. 

OneWorld UK reserves the right to monitor any discussions to ensure that online standards are being maintained.

OneWorld UK also reserves the right not to post or to remove any content that it deems in its sole discretion to be unacceptable, undesirable or in violation of these terms of use. Your registration may be terminated if you fail to abide by these terms.

In using the facility to upload comments and content to OneWorld.org, you agree to indemnify OneWorld UK its employees officers or agents against all costs and damages that they may suffer as a result of any breach by you of these terms of use.

Your Personal Details

OneWorld UK may place a "cookie" on the browser of your computer in order to improve our services. This enables us to analyse aggregate information about traffic to the site, for example to identify the most popular features and in which countries our visitors are located.

These cookies can be switched off on your computer if you so wish although this will restrict the functionality of the website.

We request details of your name and email address as part of the process for registering with OneWorld.org. We do not share, sell or trade addresses with any other companies or partners in any circumstances. We may also ask some further questions about yourself, solely for our own purpose in gaining a clearer understanding of our users. 

We may send you e-mails about activities of OneWorld UK and its partners, for example to draw your attention to a climate change campaign. On initial registration, you may also be offered tailored email digests or alerts, for example covering news, campaigns or job vacancies. You can unsubscribe from these communications at any time through a link included in each mail.

OneWorld UK offers an "email-a-friend" feature, which allows you to draw the attention of friends to our content. We ask for the name and email address of both the sender and recipient but we do not store or save this information and neither you nor your friend will receive any communication as a result of having used this feature.

Please remember that any information you upload to OneWorld.org enters the public domain. OneWorld UK cannot be held responsible for the misuse of any personal information that you disclose in your posts.

We also request details of name and address for visitors to the website who kindly make an online donation. We may send an occasional communication to keep our supporters up to date with our progress; any such communications will include the option to be removed from our list of supporters. Your credit card details are handled by a secure online donation system operated by RSM2000 Limited.

If you purchase books or other goods from the OneWorld Shops, no personal details are identified by OneWorld UK. All transactions are processed through your Amazon account.

OneWorld UK will not disclose your personal information without your consent, except as described in this privacy policy or as required by law, court order or as requested by other government or law enforcement authority.

Jurisdiction

These terms of use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Any dispute under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
